During virtual school, I created self-paced, learner-centered lessons. Most of my participants were asynchronous. I learned I had to be clear in my objectives, instructions, and expectations. I used Google Slides and Pear Deck to have engaging classes, and they worked wonders. I also created a lot of visual manipulatives with Google Jamboard. Here are a few of my lessons.

Grammar
Teaching grammar is complex. Sometimes you can make it simple with a spoonful of sugar… and music. I like to use music as a classroom management tool and teach practical grammar structures. Add hands-on activities like foldables, and your students will be engaged.
But, of course, direct instruction is inevitable. The following presentations used Pear Deck to make the lesson more interactive.
Also, for high schoolers, I try not to make lessons more than 10 minutes long or lose them. Divide your tasks into smaller chunks; students will absorb more information.
